Our team consists of qualified architectural technologists, trained builders, experienced and innovative timber structure designers, quality conscious fabrication staff and dedicated office personnel.
Prenail Frames and Trusses (PFT) takes pride in the way it empowers its employees from the design tasks through to manufacture and dispatch to continually find ways to improve products, services and efficiencies for both (PFT) and for our Clients. Investment in training and cadetship programmes (designed in-house) which utilize wider technical programmes through BCITO, Weltec, Open Polytechnic of NZ and other training providers allows (PFT) to remain with its strong reputation in achieving effective solutions for the more difficult projects.
(PFT) has been in existence for over 45 years, and owned and operated by Phil and Sharlene Broadley since 2001. Phil has extensive architectural design, sales and project management knowledge and experience and worked with BCITO in an advisory capacity for the Frame and Truss qualification framework to upgrade knowledge and capabilities in the industry. (PFT) is an accredited member of the Frame and Truss Manufacturers Association of NZ, with Phil an active member on the (FTMA) Executive Committee since 2017; furthering his commitment to the Frame and Truss sector.
As a manufacturing plant, we have experienced regular, long-standing Frame and Truss Fabricators which aids in the quality of work we produce. We put this down to the team environment and the progressive and supportive culture amongst Fabrication and Design Office staff. All of our full-time Fabrication staff have either achieved the BCITO Certificate in Frame and Truss Manufacture, or are currently on the BCITO apprenticeship programme whilst gaining experience through team leadership by our more senior staff. Development and recognition of our people is how we maintain quality workmanship and consistencies for our Clients.
The building we operate from at 5 Nicolaus Street, Trentham was redeveloped in 2007 to give better workflow and more recently has been earthquake strengthened to 100% current building code. This means our staff, visitors and the products we produce are produced efficiently, and housed as safe as possible!
